Shipping & Orchid Guarantee

Our promise to you is that you will receive your plants/products in excellent condition.  We take great pride in our quality and preparation for the shipping process.  In the event your plants or products are damaged during transit or there is a quality issue, please contact us within 5 days of arrival.  Our support team will be happy to assist and guide you through our simple claim process.

  1.   Email your claim request to claims@akatsukaorchid.com
  2.   Please include the following information in the email request:

               a.  Order #

               b.  Plant/Product Name

               c.   Brief description of the issue

               d.   Attach a picture of the plant/product for our reference

 Our support team will respond to your request within 24-48 hours and offer a resolution or request additional information.

Upon claim verification, you will receive one of the following:

  1.     Replacement Plant/Product or another item of equal value if original item is no longer available
  2.     Store Credit for the Plant/Product amount

*Please note that we cannot guarantee the longevity of our plants once it leaves our care and it will depend on the recipient’s care.  If there are any questions regarding caring for your plants, visit our Help Center or contact our Support Team

FedEx Shipping Information

Our shipping partner is FedEx. All plant products are shipped on Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday via 2-Day Service.  This method ensures that our orchids can be delivered in a timely manner to maintain its quality.

  • US Mainland Orders will be delivered in 2 days after ship datefedex9.jpg
  • Alaska Orders may take up to 3 days for delivery
  • Hawaii Orders will be delivered in 1 day after ship date

Due to strict Department of Agriculture requirements, Plants cannot be shipped with Cut Flowers or most non-plant related products.  In this case, we use USPS to ship non-plant related products and a separate FedEx box for Cut Flowers.  It is a possibility that you will receive multiple boxes for your order.

As soon as your order is received, we will select plants.  Your order will be sent on the next available ship date.

Any additional requests or errors in providing the correct shipping address will delay your order shipment.  If you would like an order to ship on a specific date, please note that in the order comments box.  We will do our best to accommodate your request.

**Shipments delivered WILL be left near the front door if someone is not home to receive the box. If you wish for the box to be received by a person, we recommend that you ship your order to a business.

Regional Shipping Information

ARIZONA: At this time we are not shipping any plant products to Arizona. The Arizona Dept. of Ag. requires an additional State of Hawai’i Dept. of Ag. Phytosanitary Certificate and inspection for any plant(s) going from Hawai’i to Arizona.

CALIFORNIA: All shipments sent to the state of California are subjected to random spot inspections by their Agricultural Department. 

ALASKA: Alaska orders may take an additional day to arrive. Some deliveries need to be made by seaplane with could delay arrival times.
