Healthy and beautiful, thank you!
Veronica is beyond beautiful. Of the many (many!) anthuriums that have overtaken my home/life/sanity - a good number of which came from Akatsuka - she is among the most impressive. Not all the plants that have made the journey from Hawaii to Texas have fared supremely well in the immediate aftermath of their arrival, but Veronica has been actively in bloom for close to 11 months now (smashing my previous record for bloom lifespan of 9 months), and is only just now starting to show a touch of old age on the tip of one of the spadices. She's also possibly my tallest anthurium, having outgrown 2-ft stakes. I've always been especially fond of the patterned and multi-color anthurium, but Veronica's speckled coloring and two-tone spadix is particularly lovely. As always, the plant was packed masterfully, arrived quickly, and was (and continues to be), a healthy, well established plant. There's a reason I keep a tab dedicated to Akatsuka's site in my browser and refresh it daily. Can't wait to see what stunning variety they offer next.
