Bllra. Tropic Lily 'Hilo Space Ship'

Everything arrived in beautiful shape. It was like Christmas unwrapping them. The beautiful blooms are doing much to cheer us up as we endure this long lockdown in our state.

I have bought a lot of Odont hybrids from Akatsuka, and they are always perfect. I used to have this plant, but last year, it suddenly contracted a fungal rot, and it happened so fast that by the time I noticed something was wrong, it already too late. So I got this as a replacement. This plant is among my favorites. The flowers are so big and spidery and graceful, with the dark spots against the snow white background. It is just so elegant. Anyway, the plant which just arrived from Akatsuka arrived in perfect condition as always, with many buds that should begin opening in a few days. The plant is flawless. No blemishes on the leaves, no bruises on the buds. Akatsuka is definitely the best place to get gift orchids in bud (even if it's just a give to yourself for having a hard week lol). I love Akatsuka, they are among the best, and I will always check here here first to see if they have what I want.
