Cochleanthes orchids are native to Mexico and South America. These single flower bloomers do not have a pseudobulb therefore they lack the ability to store water. Media must not be allow to dry out completely.

Ah-mazing quality
Another fantastic quality plant from Akatsuka. You guys have become my go-to, favorite orchid source now. The Cochleanthes amazonica is great, arrived with the unopened bud perfectly intact, which quickly opened and started smelling great!
