The Coelogyne pallens orchid is originally found in Myanmar, Thailand, Vietnam, Malaysia, and Borneo in hill ridge forests at elevations of 3200-5200 ft. Some researcher have recommended that this species be grouped with the very close relative of the fimbriata.

Flowers naturally droop and face downward
Produces blooms at tip of 3" long inflorescence
