Cyc. Cygnus Atratus x Cyc. Brown's Choice 'Spotted Swan' (4" Pot) - Male Flowers

This stunning Cycnoches orchid is a seedling hybrid that has been showing off a wide range of color.  This medium-sized  is known to produce unique and impressive flowers in a deep maroon hue.  Depending on the amount of lighting, this variety can produce male or female flowers.  These plants are currently producing male flowers which are abundant and cascading.  Colors/hues will vary. 

• Orchid Plant Stage:  Mature currently with buds/blooms (male flowers)
• Seedling Cross: Blooms will not be identical and may vary across the batch - see photos for variations we've seen so far
• Bloom Color: dark maroon in variations of hues and speckling
• Bloom Size: 2-3"
• Fragrant Blooms: Sweet and unique
• Size: 4" Pot
• Average Plant Height: 10-12"
• Blooming Season: Later Summer-Fall

Note: This family of orchids will go through a period of dormancy after it blooms.  Leaves will yellow and drop after blooming during dormancy period!  This is completely normal.  The pseudobulb may be completely bald.  Cut back on watering to once every 2 weeks.  In the spring, new growth will emerge, resume regular watering to keep media moist but not soggy.
