This family of orchids will go through a period of dormancy after it blooms. Leaves will yellow and drop after blooming during dormancy period! This is completely normal. The pseudobulb may be completely bald. Cut back on watering to once every 2 weeks. In the spring, new growth will emerge, resume regular watering to keep media moist but not soggy.

I was overwhelmed with how beautiful this flower was; however, I was more impressed with the vendor’s care and attention to detail in packing the plant and protecting the blooms. The flowers were so full and vibrant despite the two-day transit.
