Mediocalcar decoratum is a miniature vining species. Growing as a creeping rhizome with tiny but distinct pseudobulbs and succulent-like leaves, distinguished by the round, candy corn colored flowers. This particular species in this genus is most often cultivated and made available.

Growing throughout the year with the most active growth occuring during the cooler temperatures with blooming late summer or fall and often blooms twice a year. A cool to intermediate grower that thrives in bright indirect light in relatively moist and with high humidity and good air circulation. Fertilize annually with a dilute solution of a balanced blend.
