Mltnps. Lillian Nakamoto 'Tanto' (Mps. Lorene x Mps. Lynne Waihee) is a truly remarkable orchid with an incredibly distinguished black, bat marking at the center of the flower. Tanto is a relatively new variety of this hybrid registered by Hajime Ono.
As one of the most temperature tolerant Miltoniopsis varieties to date (especially during the summer months) and one that is eager to continue growing during the winter before its primary blooming season from February through to April, the Lillian Nakamoto is truly unrivaled when it comes to choosing a Miltoniopsis for beginner orchid growers.
The orchid flowers produce a light, rose-like fragrance and will sometimes display a bit of a pink blush above the black pattern especially if it was developing during the cooler months.
This genus of orchid prefers to keep its foliage relatively dry and does best growing in covered greenhouse. Miltoniopsis orchids also thrive when growing in areas where humidity can be kept relatively high and its roots can be kept cool during the summer.

It arrived in an I damaged box in perfect condition. It’s beautiful.
The plant is very healthy and the blossoms are going to be beautiful on the stems that weren't broken off when the plant arrived.
