Nicknamed the harlequin variety for the random mutations of spots and striping. First flowering pattern may not be the same in subsequent blooms. This is what makes them unique.

Phal. Ruey Lih Beauty (Specialty-Single)
At almost 3 ft tall with 7 vibrant blooms (4 inches wide) on a single stalk, this orchid certainly attracts the most comments from visitors to the house, not the least due to its coloration & pattern being markedly different from the varieties to be found in local stores here. Very well packed (my order included 2 other orchids with buds/blooms), this survived the 2 day air delivery from HI to CT, with only 3 drooping blooms (and 4 close to opening buds) which happily straightened within a week. Coming up to 5 months since the original order date, all 7 blooms are still looking fresh with no immediate signs of curling up or dropping off, yay
