$25.50

Nature's Masterpiece, orchid species Phalaenopsis tetraspis C1- a living canvas. Now ready to bloom, this extraordinary orchid showcases an ever-changing display of red and white petals. From spots to fully colored flowers in a myriad of patterns, each bud offers a delightful mystery. Mildly fragrant with a hint of mango, this must-have orchid is a world of surprise!

  • Plant Stage: First Blooming Orchid Plant - with first spike forming
  • May produce 1-2 flowers so you can get a glimpse of flower color/size
  • Phalaenopsis Species Mericlone
  • Currently growing in a 3" soft pot
  • Flower Size: currently small, about 1 inch - full maturity 2-3"
  • Flowers are mutated (probably chimeric) and will not produce flowers with identical or symmetrical splotches of color. See last two photos for possible outcomes of this unique pattern of color.

Adding to its magic is its sequential blooming habit demanding that each flower spike be left intact to enjoy continuous blooms throughtout the season. A charming species native to the islands of Southeast Asia, this fascinating variety thrives in warm, humid conditions producing waxy, pointed flowers lasting several months in spring and summer.

I was very excited to see this orchid available on Akatsuka Orchid Gardens web site. I've wanted one for quite a while. The plants arrived in great shape with spikes. Plants were larger than I anticipated and in excellent health. They were also well packed as usual.
