Phragmipedium warscewiczianum previously known as Phrag. wallisii is a captivating species that has grown increasingly popular for its long green petals and light colored pouch. This species is a native of Colombia and Ecuador found growing as a lithophyte on granite cliff faces or lava flows from elevations between 1950 ft and 9000 ft. These fully exposed environments tend to experiences warm to cold temperatures and can tolerate more heat than many other long petaled Phrags. This intermediate grower thrives in medium light and will typically bloom in the Spring producing flowers with petals up to 24" in length.
