This highly favored and immensely fragrant orchid, Rlc. Akiko Sato 'Volcano Queen', is now available with variegated leaves! A rare find in Mori's collection, he decided to try cloning this highly variegated plant to see if it would produce variegated keiki. Still a young plant, first bloom is about 2 years away and most blooms will increase in size as the plant grows.

Despite the sub-freezing temperatures, this orchid arrived in pristine condition. It’s a small but mighty plant, with a strong root system and a new growth well underway; there’s also a smidgen of beautiful live moss growing in its pot. What a thrill to own such a healthy, variegated Cattleya from Akatsuka!
This orchid arrived as scheduled, packaged very well, and was in excellent condition. I am very anxious to see it grow and bloom!
I really like the variegation. The plant is a little smaller than I usually see from you, but VERY acceptable given the nature of this one. I am excited to see it bloom in the Pacific Northwest - in a few years. Thank You.
