Rlc. Joy Sokabe 'Shining' (Starter- 2.75" Pot)

This particular clone, Rlc. Joy Sokabe 'Shining' is a re-released Akatsuka original hybrid cross that has become a classic favorite. This orchid is currently in the young starter stage and will grow to produce large pink blooms as shown in the product photo. Cattleyas are often annual bloomers. This variety is one of our ultimate favorites during the spring as it never seems to disappoint with its consistent blooming. As consistent as it is to produce large cattleya flowers during the spring, it is always possible for this variety to bloom out of season due to various factors. This plant is NOT currently in bud or flowering now.

This beautiful hybrid is a mericlone from our original collection and are perfect to add to any growing orchid collection.  

Many of the types in this category were created as originals by our founder, Mr. Moriyasu Akatsuka.  First bloom is about 1-2 years away and most blooms will increase in size as the plant grows.
