This cattleya orchid plant, Rlc. Pamela Shell's Volcano Delight 'Volcano Queen', produces a stunning white variety with a bright fuschia lip and flaring on the tips of each petal. This particular cattleya originates from our nursery in Volcano on Hawaii's Orchid Isle. The parental cross for this mericlone is the Rlc. Irene Creeden x Rlc. Volcano Star.
These plants are clones, which means the bloom will look like sample photo.
This particular clone, Rlc. Pamela Shell's Volcano Delight 'Volcano Queen' is at a mature blooming stage but is not currently producing any buds or bloom. This orchid is planted in a 5 1/2” pot and will produce 4-5” cattleya flowers as shown in the product photo while in bloom. Cattleyas are often annual bloomers. This variety tends to produce orchid flowers consistently during the summer to fall months. This plant is not currently in bud or flowering now.
General orchid care for Cattleyas include a temperature range of 75-85F during the day and 60F at night. 40-60% humidity is recommended. Bright, shaded light south-east or south-west exposure. Check the media and water only when dry (about 1-2 times/week). We recommend fertilizing with a high phosphorus & potassium slow release blend to develop big blooms. As with all orchids, good air movement is essential. Repot these mature size orchids every 2 years.
Growing Instructions are available with every order. Contact us daily via email or phone for additional care questions or concerns.

I received my second order recently, and it was as good as the first order over a year ago. My order was promptly filled, arrived 2nd air (I'm in Upstate NY). As with the 1st order, it was packaged extremely well, and the Cattleyas came thru in excellent condition. One was a plant with buds, which have started to open yesterday. I can't imagine buying orchids from anyone else, when both my experiences with Akatsuka is so impressive!
Aloha! Best online orchid nursery! Customer service A+ Great packing and shipping A+
