General orchid care for Cattleyas include a temperature range of 75-85F during the day and 60F at night. 40-60% humidity is recommended. Bright, shaded light south-east or south-west exposure. Check the media and water only when dry (about 1-2 times/week). We recommend fertilizing with a high phosphorus & potassium slow release blend to develop big blooms. As with all orchids, good air movement is essential. Repot these mature size orchids every 2 years.

Purchased a six inch pot of Lc. Persepolis 'Splendor' in October 2020. Plant was overgrown and starting to show new growths from both sides of the plant. Those new growths now are about 6 to 8 inches tall and both are showing sheaths. Not a guarantee they will bloom, but you have to start somewhere. Very happy with all of the plants I have purchased from Akatsuka Gardens.
Enormous flowers with fragrance. Beautiful colors. Multiple buds. One of the best orchids I have.
