Phal. Showpiece (Double Spike)

It was shipped as a gift to a friend in Oklahoma City. She informed me that it had three spikes of beautiful flowers; she was impressed that it was shipped all the way from Hawaii!

I ordered from Akatsuka after being fed up with locally grown Texas orchids with their mangled leaves and inconsistent results. I am BLOWN AWAY by my entire experience with the fabulous Akatsuka Orchids team. I ordered a gorgeous Showpiece (double spike) and a Miraflore. They arrived two days later and were brilliantly wrapped and protected. The Showpiece is stunning and has been in full flower for three weeks, so I’m about to order another one. The Miraflore had more flowers when it arrived and is now spent. I may have overwatered it once. It’s so dry and hot here in summer we really have to pay attention. It was also gorgeous, with yellow and fuschia flowers. I may try one of the specialty varieties next. Bottom line: I could not be more delighted with my Akatsuka orchids and have already recommended to my friends. Even with shipping, the flowers are an exceptional value and are far superior to anything here. Thank you! I will be a customer for life!

I can't wait for the buds (all fourteen of them!) to open! It arrived 2 days after I ordered and was packaged with care. It has firm leaves and extremely healthy roots. I will be ordering more!
